Just a very quick note to say that I'm going to elsewhere, blog-wise from this day forth. Blogger has been very annoying of late and I'm hoping to find something that isn't so backwards. Posts keep vanishing and I've been longing for a fresh start for a long time now. I've changing a lot of things in my life, online and off.
Since most people are jumping ship, I don't feel so bad about doing the same.
I'll still keep this open, if only to gain quick access to your sites, but myspace or face book is a better place to catch me and chat. I'll still read, comment and annoy you...etc..
This is not really a goodbye as such because the friends I've made through blogger all know where to find me and don't have to rely on this one area anymore.

Hello.
For those that have been wondering what I, Christopher Bate: Master of the rum and uncanny, have been up to over the last few days, here is your update:Basically, I've been doing film stuff and sorting the house out for Kylie and I's BIG ESCAPE in September.
The final inspection is today and I've been cleaning and choring myself (kind of like whoring but with a wet flannel and a vacuum) to make sure that we leave on good terms with our letting agency. I've thrown a shed load of stuff out and I'm trying to live a less cluttered lifestyle.
As I mentioned earlier, I've been writing things and I've finished a feature length script that I'm really, really proud of. That doesn't happen very often. I'm going to send it off to my various contacts and see what they think.
Of course, anyone who has the time to read (and possibly ridicule) my lastest non-epic is welcome. I know some people kind of like what I do here.Tomorrow, it's the Moran Invitational, a yearly gathering/pool tournament at the Viking's place. The winner gets their name on a large Jelly baby trophy.
Mr Moran is combining this years Invitational with his 30th birthday celebrations. There is to be drink, nibbles and a bouncy castle. I'm totally in.I may drop out of the pool tourny though as I suck at pool. My games roll on for too long and people get restless. I'm no pool shark or sharp shooter.
Things are pretty good, chugging along and I wouldn't change a thing at the moment.

There are cool things on the horizon.Happy Freakend, each and all.

I've been meaning to blog for a few days now but I've been so tired. The weekend was hectic in the best way and I've had very little sleep since then, thanks largely to my house mate's stupid cats late night ritual of running around the house, knocking stuff over and meowing like an idiot. If I wasn't against animal cruelty I would bash it's head in with my shoe. Still, come September, the cat and the idiots will be distant memories.
The weekend was excellent. We went for after work drinks with old and new faces. I caught up with some old co-works and drank Jaagermiester with The Heffman for old times sake. I fondly remember last year when Heff and I drank J out of test tubes and almost went blind. Well, we had to celebrate being called on stage to rock out with our friends band. I don't think anyone has played a pint glass solo since. If they have, i'm sure they didn't do it with as much gusto and vim as we did.
Friday was an all-star affair and people came back to mine for games and hot beverages. H did that funny dance you can see below.
Saturday, Kylie and I went to Leicester. I'm always excited about going over there because it's always fun and this weekend was no different. once again, we went to see some nice scenary eat some good food and have drinks. Leicester is like a home away from home for me. In fact, I prefer it. Q.B has it's limits and it doesn't have fields, lakeside bars, The Charlotte, haunted houses and Kylie's family.
We went to an awesome club called The Charlotte which was deserted but meant that we could take over and get our music played. They played 99% of our requests which is something they don't do at dives like Blast Off. I was pleased to get 'Don't Believe The Hype' by Public Enermy and '100%' by Sonic Youth played. It was great to 'dance' to that stuff and I was in good company. I was so comfortable that I drank more than usual and I was so entertained with music and banter that I didn't fall asleep (One of the reasons I usually avoid the 'Chuckle Juice)
It was Kylie's Mom and Dad's birthday this weekend and Kylie and I's half anniversary. Six months. Wow. After six months you really know that it's serious. I knew after six hours. We've done a lot in such a short time and it's been amazing. I never thought I'd meet someone like Kylie. I know how lucky I am. When we move into our own, cool little place everything will be even better. You'd all be invited, of course.

P.S I think Blogger is on the mess up again. I've had zero options to change the style of this post to my usual. Blogger sucks 67% of the time.

Aloofus, Aloofus...

So, it’s 2018. I’m staring down the barrel of my 40’s but with the same goofy mindset I honed in my 20’s. Mentally, it doesn’t feel as bad a...
