"And the award for best actor goes to....."

I had my appraisal at work today. I managed to spin a thick web of bullshit so fine that even I began to believe it.
It was either that or be completely honest with my boss:

"I spend most of my time doodling, writing down story ideas and blogging to save both my soul and my sanity from being taken by this infernal company"

This probably have resulted in my objectives for the rest of the year to be 'Fuck. Off'. As much as I hate my job. I need the money and I can fake it as long as they willing to pay me.
Now they think I'm a premier worker and a rising talent...but we all know different, don't we? Plus, they have given me a raise. Bonus!

Sweet sassy mollasy you are my hero. You doodle? Who knew? I think you should celebrate the raise by posting doodles.

My doodles usually consist of stick men fighting each other ala Street Fighter 2. I'm truly terrible at art.

you should totally make a flip book or gif out of those guys fighting and add sound effects.

Haha! Good idea. I doodle random ideas for video games (Even though I rarely play them) The lastest one is SUPER HYPER TURBO JAPANESE NOISE MESS 2: VISUAL RETINA RUINER EDITION. It'll be a smash in Tokyo.

Honesty in the workplace is never the best policy. Just laugh at everyones jokes and they'll think you're brilliant, not suspecting you secretly think they're all cretins. I'm currently biding my time until I can sue my employer for giving me repetitive strain injury, possibly.

You speaka my language. Im just another creative individual who slaves away in the corporate world of desk jockeys wishing she was somewhere over the rainbow, making a film or singing in a studio. Damn desk jobs. Its all about the money now isnt it! Pooh!

Keep the faith. I'm determined to escape the shackles of this glorified prison and make something of myself. It may not make me a lot of money but it will help restore my soul.
Keep scribbling. Save yourself.
