Dear 9 to 5..

...Whatever happened to just turning up, doing your job and going home. When did it get so complicated?

Not everyone wants to be a puppet!

Some of us have something that resembles a dream. Funnily enough, I don't dream about doing a bullshit job for bullshit money.

If I could quit you, I would. I'm doing this PURELY to pay my rent and I feel dirty enough as it is.

Yours trapped in a corporate cabinet,

C.B

Honestly, you use the net in work time and it's like the trial of the century! I have a 'hearing' today. How pretentious! EVERYONE DOES IT!

Gah. Where is my just desserts?

My friend got a 'most inventive use of the internet' award at my work. She only booked a holiday during lesson time. Not that inventive, really.

I always worry that they might find out who I am from looking in my history. That puts me off surfing too much.

Blimey. Hope the 'hearing' went ok!

Have stopped blogging at work because its just too much of a risk in my new job:(

Also I initially misread your post and thought you said you were trapped in a corporate cabaret ... I had a whole song and dance routine worked out.

Final random thought - I like you butterfly Tee:)

I hope the hearing doesn't end up with you wearing an unflattering orange boilersuit and having a little holiday in a minus five star hotel somewhere abroad...

hey, gang. Thanks for your thoughts and stuff.
I got a written warning which was a little OTT considering I haven't even had a verbal. Still, I'm not too bothered. If I have my way I'll be gone soon before the rot really sets in.
The union guy was really going to town on the smug, sneery HR guy and I thought they were going to have a fight. The politics at my 9 to 5 are laughable. I suppose thats true of most offices these days.
Funny thing was that the union guy was really interesting in talking about writing and DRTN. I'm going to lend him the DVD. Ultimately, that's my REAL job, despite the lack of funds. In my heart, that's what is really important to me.

I make a point of surfing the net during work time, to make up for the excess time I have to spend here. hahaha

So, it’s 2018. I’m staring down the barrel of my 40’s but with the same goofy mindset I honed in my 20’s. Mentally, it doesn’t feel as bad a...
