Won an album the other day. That was nice. Good record too. The Daydream Club. Check them out, whoever you are. I don't know who reads this. I do like shouting into the great unknown, like some bearded tramp in a dark tunnel.
Started to get my head around Final Draft and the art of PACING when it comes to scripts. Started on the third, forth or fifth version of 'Cupid At Gunpoint' and I wrote a short film about someone adopting a bat. This was mostly for my friend Laura.
NOT been posting endless, pointless videos on FB, making xenophobic remarks, keeping people hanging on, talking loudly in public places. Those are other jerks.

Grass Widow - Fried Egg

A week of LIMBO. That feeling of being inbetween something. Too much hinges on a usually unimportant thing. WORK has a knock on affect. I can't move forward without a nod and a wink from them. DEEPLY ANNOYING but oddly exciting.
WRITING, Plotting gigs and adventures
LONDON was wild fun. Cheryl and Dan are good people. Bonus 6music presenters and BIRD BASED MUSIC puns. And BARS. Camden is KER-RAZY in the evening time.
Vintage trousers, comics, records, odd energy drinks and various personal gifts. Good times? GOOD TIMES.
The work of Jeffrey BROWN makes me want to take my scripts about NOTHING and turn them into COMICS about NA-DA.
The FREAKEND is almost here.

A nice song from one of my favourite records of the year previous to this one.
In a funny mood at the moment.

London for a couple of days.
That will right me.

Happy New YEAH!

2010 was the best year in a while. Not that I ever have a really bad year but 2009 wasn't all that fun and it seemed to take ages to shake off.
2010 was all about either embracing my 30's or just becoming dull and boring. I realised that I'm still young enough to have fun and indulge my hobbies and interested but old enough to stop caring about peoples opinions (so much). That's always going to he hard for such a big worrier. Never the less, 2010 saw me make vital steps into improving my life. Kylie took the proverbial bull by the horns and made some dramatic changes. To that end, she is more confident, sure of herself and stronger. I learned a lot from her this year.
Mostly though, it was all about fun.

- Dot to Dot, Summer Sundae, White Noise, The Caribbean Carnival and Riverside were fun, musical days out.
- The Leicester Comedy Festival provided us with weeks of laughs, the highlights were many but the main two involved Peacock and Gambles mad Firebug show and meeting comedy legend and odd ball Simon Munnery.
- Visiting Ben. Two days of drinks and hearty banter. Loved it. It oddly felt like home away from home.
- Camden with Cheryl, Adam, Kylie and Sammi. Running around such a hipster haven with a bunch of like-minded, great people was a fine way to spend the day. The added bonus of Mr. Carl Beasley was sweet.
- Neil's New Robot and, to a lesser degree, This Break Up Is Filmed In Front of a Live Studio Audience.
- Writing stuff for Talk About the Passion magazine.
- Writing stuff that I'm actually pleased with
- Many gigs in, and around, a town that I love.
- 'Band' Meetings.
- Quitting a job I hated to work in a job that I like. Basically, I left and ended up in a better position at the same company and enjoyed a much-needed holiday that helped to clear my head and get back in touch with things.
- Halloween.

It doesn't seem like much and I can't remember some of it. Not at this time at least. I'm hoping that 2011 will be just as good, if not better.

Aloofus, Aloofus...

So, it’s 2018. I’m staring down the barrel of my 40’s but with the same goofy mindset I honed in my 20’s. Mentally, it doesn’t feel as bad a...
