From L.A to Q.B

This Sunday I will finally speak to the man interested in 'Bent Soul'.

The glitz-ridden, hey-hey land of Hollywood calls a small place in the West Midlands, U.K that nobody has ever heard of (Not even the people that live here)

I doubt it happens very often to people around here unless the old lady over the road wrote Basic Instinct 2 or one of the ragged chaps I see staggering around the park used to roadie for Sabbath (The Dio days, not the Ozzy days. Old Ronnie James never gets the props he deserves...)

Nervous?

Of course and for two reasons. One is the overall surrealness of the situation and the other is that I hate using the phone. Seriously, I'm lousy. Give me face-to-face or written communication anyday.

It's probably just me.

In other news, I have a rad new pirate t-shirt which amuses me (and most likely only me) and H gave me a pretty guitar for no apparent reason.

I'll be playing both that and the new Smackdown while I wait for the call. I'm 50/50 about going out on the town on Saturday. I could do but I'm not sure.

What do you think? About anything; me, the whole shebang, Britney and K-Fed, Pirates, The various Sabbath line-ups over the years, Smackdown 2007, what I should wear should I go out, what YOU'RE doing/wearing this weekend...

I myself shall be wearing my finest barber trousers as tomorrow morning I shall be having a hair cut.

Then, Saturday night I shall be visiting an old friend in Huddersfield who has a cat called 'Milk' and a V8 engine as a coffee table. All true.

Then, on Sunday I shall be editing and burning my final version of Broken by Design for the taking thereof to the BBC.

That is all.

I think you will do fine. When I get nervous about things (and I DO) it's always because I forget that the other half of the equation is just a person too. Talk to them just like you do to us :)

I think you should wear your pirate shirt for the phone call.

I am working, and seeing cool (and one admittedly very bizarre..."typewriter orchestra") local bands this weekend.

Have fun & good luck!!!

You'll be fine on the phone - I just know it, the words will flow.

As for weekend plans, I'll be going to a family party Saturday night, wearing something that rocks, and texting as many people as possible as you know what family parties are like grrrr.

bestest of luck to you! as long as you don't try to eat the phone, i'm sure you will be marvelous.

brit & k-fed? about time.
wear your pirate shirt!
and i'll be working overtime, looking for a new job, doing homework and crafting like crazy-cakes.
also, i like that you use the term "rad." this makes me smile.

well, I'll probably be dancing round a tea cup ;) I'm taking the work experience out for a drink tonight (sigh) and am off to a house warming tomorrow (yay).

The man from LA should be just as excited about speaking to you - he's just discovered a bright new talent and he wants you on his books before somebody else snaps you up. You'll be fabulous - good luck!

OH WOW!!!!

Thrilled for you, good luck. I can't do telephones either, can you pretend to be Christopher-Bate-Screen-Genius-Phone-talker? I find faking it most successful.

Pirates? Double WOW!

Academy tonight, since you ask :-) Sticky floor and pissy beer :-(

I anticipate escorting my Dad tomorrow to get his prostate examined. A fine way to spend a day, let me tell you.

Good luck on the call, by the way!

I hate the phone too for some reason yet I can never shut up in the flesh or in type. Odd!

You'll be fine.

You'll be fine with Mr.Hollywood. :) You just have to remember that, as Stephanie in Boston said, he is just another human being and one that is already impressed by you and your work. You don't have to prove anything so be yourself and you'll be fine. I've got lots of confidence in you and your talents. :)

As for the weekend, I shall be doing a bit of sleeping, some aloe-vera plant transplanting, working, running, music listening, film watching and catching up with friends. Not very rock and roll, but I partied on Thursday so I don't feel so bad. Sadly, I have no red pirate tshirts but I will be wearing my red snogging-Mounties tshirt. Red is the theme for the weekend it seems.

Good luck with everything and be sure to update us all on the phone call.

*hugs*
